Welcome to Fort Harrison Chapter, NSDAR

The Fort Harrison Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) was organized on April 8, 1909, with 41 members. Today our chapter is made up of more than 95 members and seven associate members ranging in age from 20 to over 90.

Did you know as part of the commitment to education, DAR offers multiple scholarships annually to members and non-members, sponsors essay contests, and provides free lesson plans for teachers?

Did you know as part of the commitment to historic preservation, DAR members work to preserve genealogical records and other artifacts, volunteer with local historical museums and sites, and work to identify, commemorate and preserve historical graves?

Did you know as part of the commitment to patriotism, DAR members promote understanding of the constitution, support military veterans and active duty members, present patriotic awards, and support new U.S. citizens?
